Report: Minister says Russia to try to privatize Rosneft Jul–Dec

MOSCOW, Apr 15 (PRIME) – The Russian government expects to privatize a 19.5% stake in oil major Rosneft in July–December 2016, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov told channel CNBC in an interview broadcast on Friday.

“We hope to complete the deal in the second half of 2016,” Siluanov said and valued the stake at 650 billion rubles. “A greedy investor will be unable to participate in privatization.”

The government is considering all ways to sell the stake, he said.

Earlier this week Economic Development Minister Alexei Ulyukayev said that Moscow chose law firm White&Case as a legal adviser for privatization of the oil major.
